Landon Tymochko, a Financial Advisor at Leslie Roper Day & Associates, exemplifies the integrity, excellence, and compassion for clients that make him a natural fit for our office. He loves being a part of the team and enjoys being engaged in the lives of each client. A native of the Sacramento region, he was born and raised in Elk Grove, CA, and can still remember when Elk Grove was a one-stoplight town, where he was active in the community, and earned his Eagle Scout Award.
After graduating from Elk Grove High School, Landon received a BS in Business Administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. While at Cal Poly, he became a leader in the Army ROTC, and upon graduation, was commissioned as an Army officer, serving in Bosnia-Herzegovina. After being honorably discharged as an Army Captain, Landon pursued a career in business, joining E&J Gallo Winery in Modesto, CA. Throughout his career at Gallo he continued to excel as a leader and entrepreneur, growing his expertise in both business and personal finance. While working full-time he earned his MBA from the UC Davis Graduate School of Management, concentrating in Finance, Entrepreneurship and Wine Studies. Landon is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, an elite professional designation reflecting his ability to deliver game changing improvements to a business.
As his career progressed, Landon discovered his passion for helping individuals, entrepreneurs, and business owners solve their financial challenges and to improve their lives. This led him to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, completing the required courses and passing the CFP® exam in 2011. He also has an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation. Landon has also obtained his his Series 7 and Series 66 registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network, and Life/Health Insurance licenses. In his spare time he teaches courses in finance and financial planning at William Jessup University and Sacramento State.
Landon and his wife, Deanna, met in junior high, are still best friends and proud parents of their active son, Austin, and daughter, Anya. They enjoy being active in their church and the local community. Landon is an outdoors man who enjoys backpacking, snowboarding, and cycling. He and Deanna also enjoy more “leisurely” world travel, and they are looking forward to exploring the world's treasures together.
